Does acrylic meet hygiene standards for dentistry?
Yes — PMMA is approved under REACH and RoHS. Easy disinfection with medical agents (Cidex, Microbac, Ecocide). Smooth surface — does not promote bacterial accumulation.
Which cleaning agents are safe?
Safe: dedicated acrylic cleaners (Acryliccare), alcohol-free medical agents (Microbac forte, Mikrozid sensitive), soap + warm water. Ethyl alcohol 70% — only brief contact, wipe immediately. DO NOT use long-term: concentrated IPA, glutaraldehyde (Cidex), acetone, denatured alcohol, ammonia, hydrogen peroxide >3% — they damage the surface (crazing, clouding).
Can I add the practice logo?
Yes — UV printing (color) or laser engraving. We recommend UV printing — durability 10+ years, resistance to disinfectants.
Is acrylic suitable for aerosol shields?
Yes — acrylic 4-6 mm is sufficient for routine reception shields. For shields at the patient chair (procedural aerosols) we recommend polycarbonate 4 mm — more mechanically durable.
How long does production take for an office?
Standard 10 days. Express 5-7 days for basic elements.
