In POS and retail, these terms are used interchangeably: POS display, POSM (Point of Sale Material), display stand, counter display, floor stand, rack, fixture, impulse display, point of purchase (POP), retail display. They often mean the same product or very similar constructions. Tell us what you call it — we'll understand and propose a specific solution. We make all types in custom acrylic.

Counter displays (impulse, cassette) are compact 15-60 cm units placed on store counters, checkouts, or trade sthan booths — they display impulse products in the purchase zone. Floor standing displays (retail islands, category stands) are 120-220 cm tall, free-standing in store aisles, and present larger product volumes for premium categories: cosmetics, spirits, electronics.

Both refer to the same material: PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate). 'Acrylic glass' originated from the brand name Acrylicglas®. In manufacturing we call it acrylic or cast PMMA (GS — best optical clarity, UV filter) or extruded XT (economical for large runs). Same material, different names by industry.

CNC milling is precision machining of acrylic on a numeric-controlled mill — allowing precise pockets, radii, engraved logos, polished chamfered edges. Choose CNC for: premium POSM runs where detail matters, displays with 3D branding (logo cut into the panel), multi-level constructions with tight tolerances. For simple stands, laser cutting is enough.
