What materials are best for machine guards?

Polycarbonate (PC) is the preferred material for machine guards due to its extreme impact resistance - 250x stronger than glass. For non-impact applications where optical clarity is paramount, acrylic (PMMA) is an excellent choice. PET-G offers a middle ground with good impact resistance and chemical resistance.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Our minimum production run is 10 units for CNC-machined enclosures. We produce single prototypes for design validation and approval before committing to production quantities.

Can you machine enclosures with mounting holes and threads?

Yes. Our CNC routers drill precision mounting holes, counterbores, countersinks, and cut threads directly into the material. We work with M3-M12 thread sizes as standard.

Do you provide assembly or just machined parts?

Both. We supply CNC-machined flat parts for customer assembly, or we assemble complete enclosures using solvent bonding, UV bonding, or mechanical fastening with stainless steel hardware.

Can enclosures include transparent windows and opaque panels?

Yes. We combine clear panels for viewing areas with opaque, coloured, or frosted panels in a single enclosure. Multi-material assemblies (e.g., polycarbonate window in an ABS housing) are routine.

What tolerances can you achieve on enclosures?

CNC-machined enclosure parts are held to +/-0.05mm tolerance. Assembled enclosures typically achieve +/-0.2mm overall dimensional accuracy depending on size and complexity.
